WiCyS NY Metro Committees:

If you’re interested in getting involved on an ongoing basis, we have a number of committees from which we select our board members. These committees all meet monthly and each is responsible for slightly different duties. The committees are as follows:

Student Engagement	Responsible for working with local student chapters of WiCyS, developing event content targeted at students, and exploring student member’s needs.
Content Development	Responsible for soliciting and brainstorming new event ideas, working with potential and current speakers, and handling event logistics.
Communications / Marketing	Responsible for promoting WiCyS events, managing social media channels, and working on innovative ways to reach out to current and potential members.
Membership	Responsible for working on ad-hoc projects and new initiatives to improve members’ experience.
Jobs	Responsible for continually improving how we communicate and share job postings with the community and job candidates with potential employers.
